We’re already coming towards the end of January, and I’m still pretty much consistently mistaking the year for 2018 when writing the date. Hopefully my mind will soon accept that it is the new year, because I’m feeling pretty excited about what’s to come.
By this time, sometimes the resolutions that we made have already slipped away from us. Hopefully, even just seeing the title of this blog post will spur you on with your goals again. Or, if you’re still on track with your goals since setting them, then that’s quite brilliant and that’s how I hope I’ll be with mine!
But that’s enough rambling from me for now. Let’s get on with my goals for this year!
This year has started off really well with making more time for reading. I have read seven books so far this year, and am currently reading my eighth. One of those books that I have read so far is Lily Allen’s ‘My Thoughts Exactly’ which is one that I couldn’t put down and would definitely recommend. It was interesting to hear Lily’s take on things, especially in terms of the music industry.
Sometimes there’s nothing better than getting into a book and escaping out of your own mind and thoughts, I guess it could be my version of self care.
PLAN A FEW TRIPS AWAY
It’s come to a point where I feel like it’s time to start seeing more of the world and having fun. One of my favourite kind of blog posts is to create are my travel ones where I love to share my photos that I’ve taken. So to be able to do more of that would be pretty cool!

Speaking of blog posts, I would absolutely love to grow my blog this year and making sure that there is a least one blog post every week seems like a pretty good place to start. I’m looking forward to getting back into the swing of things with my blog as well, as this is another hobby that I enjoy doing and would like to make much more time for.
Last year, I managed to reduce waste by quite a bit, especially non-recyclable waste. However, since my life got slightly overhauled, I lost my way with this quite a bit. I’m now trying to cut down on food waste and the amount we buy in plastic packaging to get back on track. When it comes to what we do as individuals to help the environment, no matter how much or how little you do - it really is every little helps!
