Let's Talk: It's Totally Okay To Be In Your Own Lane

I'm here to let you know, that it's totally okay if you're not quite there yet or aren't following along with everybody else's timeline. Why am I saying this? Because it's what I need to keep reminding myself a lot at the moment.

2018 has been a pretty special year so far. We have welcomed the most gorgeous baby boy into the world, who I am so lucky to be Auntie Claire to. And now, my best friend of many years (hey Beth) has just got engaged on holiday - how amazing is that!
p.s. Beth has a blog right here if you wanna check it out and her 'going gluten-free' post is a real good read - over & out.

Whilst I am so happy that these incredible things have happened. The thoughts inside my head will always bring up 'when's my turn?'
When everybody around you is growing up, getting engaged, getting married, buying a house & starting a family and you haven't accomplished any of that yet - you could be left feeling, am I doing something wrong here? Is my life not turning out the way it is supposed to, and when it is supposed to?

But, everybody has their own timelineWhen it is right for you to do something, in comparison to when it is right for somebody else to do something is totally different
Don't be afraid to stick to your own pace and live your live in your own line, in your own time. You're not doing anything wrong, it's just that it doesn't seem to be your time yet.

I am huge believer in what is meant to be, will be. If something doesn't turn out so great, I'll always go back to this because *inserting another cliche* - everything happens for a reason. But to me, this is so true! Thinking in this way also helps relax my overthinking brain, which is always a good thing.

i don't know if this post was at all helpful, but sometimes i think it's nice to know that somebody else out there is going through the same thing as you.
if you have any thoughts, i'd love to hear them below!
