January's List: Reflection

This month has felt like the longest one ever - but we're here and we made it, if only just!
Reading back on the intro for my January's List - I'm really not feeling much more motivated at the end of the month to be honest. I'm pretty sure that I filled up all of my time with watching Netflix and looking at holidays, because this girl needs a holiday!
Oh well, this is what January's are for, right? A trial run... I actually giggled a little writing that bit, who am I kidding?!

PLAN & ORGANISE

I have actually done okay with this goal. One of my planners has a budget which I stuck to all month long and found really beneficial. I felt so much more in control of my finances and more accountable for how much I'm spending and on what. It also super helped to encourage me to save more than I have been, which is so that I can feel proud writing that achievement in my budget - I'm not even joking, is this normal?
There's definitely more organisation that I need in my life, but even the small steps are still moving forward!

 

READ 3 BOOKS

*pats myself on the back* I am on my seventh book - seventh
My fave one was definitely Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman, I finished it in only a few evenings because I just couldn't put it down! It was funny but intense, and actually quite interesting. I would definitely recommend picking this up.
Currently reading, is The Highly Sensitive Person by Elaine N. Aron which is SO interesting. I feel as if I'm learning all about myself (a lot of head nodding moments) as well as giving me a new but good perspective on things.

 

create more time for mindfulness

I am ashamed to say that I have totally failed at this in January. I've only taken a couple of small time slots in the whole month for being mindful - which is probably safe to say why I'm feeling so rubbish right now!
I have the Calm app which I currently use for 'sleep stories' for when I can't sleep - they're amazing and nearly always send me to the land of nod. But I'd like to get into the breathing exercises a little more.
Yoga With Adrienne has also been doing a new yoga series called 'TRUE' which I'd also like to try and make an effort to do one a day - fingers crossed!
