De-Stressing Salts: Do They Actually Work?
I was gifted the Aveda Stress-Fix Soaking Salts a while ago for either my birthday or Christmas, I can't quite remember.
But it is only in these past few weeks that I have decided to put this product to the test! Mainly to see if it actually works because I have been a right stress head lately, and because it's fun to try new things and all that.
The Aveda Stress-Fix Soaking Salts have a lavender scent to them, which plays a huge part in the de-stress.
Some of the main health benefits of lavender include: relieving stress, improving your mood and helping you get a good nights sleep. Of course there are lots more, but just those things tick all the right boxes for me!
HOW TO USE IT
It's quite simply really! Run yourself a nice, hot bath and while the water is running, add about 2 tablespoons of the salts to your bath. Then go ahead and soak it up for about 10-20 minutes or so.
The salts are very fine so they dilute into the water really quickly and easily!
Also, 2 tablespoons of the salts are definitely enough. When I first tried them, I used more than this which actually made the smell a bit too over-powering for me.
I love them, and they are now my go-to for a bit of relaxation in my evenings. Once I'm out of the bath, I'm so relaxed that I feel ready for bed. So if I'm going to use these, I normally do it quite close to that time.
I have been using these de-stress salts twice a week, and have noticed a difference in my stress levels compared to when I was not using them.
