My Shower Routine
When I say my shower routine, I mean the VERY basics of my shower routine. Of course there are occasions when you need to scrub or shave, but I'm not including that.
So if I'm in a rush or am really not feeling like prolonging being in the shower because I'm being super lazy, this is exactly what I do and use.
Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Shampoo
I have been using this shampoo for 2 years now and have not switched once. It does exactly what it says and leaves my hair feeling super hydrated, healthy and clean - and that's pretty much all I want in a bottle of shampoo.
I used to feel like a lot of shampoos weren't keeping my hair fresh (is that the word?) for very long meaning that by the end of the day my hair would feel really limp and almost greasy.
But I haven't had that problem for quite a while now. I just feel like this really suits me, and Matt likes it too - so win, win!
OGX Coconut Water Conditioner
After I highlighted my hair, I really noticed a difference in the health of my ends. So I wanted to switch up my conditioner to a more luxurious one than the Herbal Essences that I used to use.
I pretty much only ever condition the ends of my hair - this is because when I condition my whole hair it actually makes it a little greasy. I'm not sure if this would be because I have really fine hair - can anyone help me out here?
I heard that coconut would be very good for dry hair, however I didn't want to try the OGX Coconut Milk conditioner because I thought it would weigh my hair down. Which is why I picked up the Coconut Water conditioner as it is advertised as weightless hydration - and it does exactly that.
I have really noticed a difference in the condition of my ends since using this conditioner, and it doesn't weigh my hair down at all which is exactly what I need.
Soap & Glory 'Foam Call' Body Wash
I was having a bit of a girly moment when I picked this one up. I feel like Soap and Glory always does that to me - it must be the packaging! But I have to say that I absolutely love this.
It has a clean but fruity smell, and it genuinely leaves me feeling super, squeaky clean. (I hate those shower gels that actually make you feel worse after showering than you did before.) I genuinely feel like a fresh, new woman after using this.
Origins Mega Mushroom Face Cleanser
I honestly hadn't heard of this before I spoke to a lady that was on the Origins counter. I was on the hunt for a face cleanser that was going to help with redness which was when I was shown in this direction, however this does so much more than that.
It has really helped with the redness on my cheeks, but I'm pretty sure that it has reduced my pores and I've noticed a difference in the brightness of my skin too!
I read a couple of reviews and a lot of people commented on the smell of this product, but it doesn't bother me at all - I think it smells a bit like lemon zest or something haha.
The only thing I would say about this, is that you should wipe your face with micellar water on a cotton pad before as it's not the best at getting make up off. It works a lot better if it's being worked straight onto your skin instead of through your make up.
Do you have any of these in your shower routine? :-)
