Aloe Vera Protective Restoring Mask
The Body Shop Aloe Vera Protective Restoring Mask is designed as a weekly treatment for skin that needs more gentle care.
The Body Shop do other types of this face mask such as Tea Tree, Seaweed, Vitamin E and Drops Of Youth. I decided to go for the Aloe Vera Mask because I suffer from dry skin, especially in the winter months. And I have had really good results from other Aloe Vera products when it comes to dry skin and even peeling if I've been burnt by the sun.
How To Use
After I have washed my face, I use my Garnier Micellar Water and my Benefit Eye Cream but not my usual face moisturiser. I then apply a thin layer of this to my face with my fingertips. The Body Shop say to leave this on your skin for up to 20 minutes, which is what I do, and then once this time is up I gently massage this face mask into my skin.
I normally use this on a Wednesday as a little skin care pick me up in the middle of the week.
After using this product for about 3-4 weeks, I have noticed a significant improvement in the hydration of my skin all week round. It has really helped, especially in this freezing cold weather. The skin on my face hasn't been dry at all.
This mask will last for a very long time, as you only need the smallest amount to moisturise your face with and you only use this weekly. I've had mine for a good 2-3 months, and as you can see in my photo the pot is still pretty full!
This Aloe Vera Face Mask is definitely worth the investment if you suffer from dry skin like myself as it does make a significant difference to the hydration in your skin.
It is fragrance, colour and alcohol-free with no added preservatives.
Another thing that I really love about this product is that it feels really clean and fresh, which is something I really look for in a moisturiser because that's exactly how I like to feel in the evening before I go to sleep!
I hope that this review has helped you if you're looking for a face mask to use every so often. I think that once this is all used up, I really want to try the The Body Shop Drops of Youth mask next! What's your go to product in the winter months to avoid dry skin?
